How do I file a claim from the Winter Storm?

If you experience damage or a loss related to the storm, please report your claim directly to your insurance carrier as soon as possible The carriers we work with and their contact information is listed below. Carrier claim departments operate 24/7 and are the fastest way to begin the claims process.

Before the storm, we strongly recommend that you locate and keep your policy number accessible (printed or saved on your phone). Having your policy number available is especially important in the event of a loss of power or internet access.

Tips for filing a claim

  1. DOCUMENT. This is incredibly important – take pictures, videos and include descriptions of the event and damage.
  2. Inventory and retain damaged property. Don’t throw anything away.
  3. Think now about preventing future loss. Do what you can to make sure the situation doesn’t get worse.
  4. Keep any and all receipts. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING.

Your carrier’s adjuster will make all claims and payment decisions.

We do not have control over this part of the process but if we can help answer any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.

Companies and adjusters will be in touch as they are able.

As you can imagine, there are a large amount of claims that can surface from winter storms so adjusters may be incredibly busy. Please know they may not be able to contact you before visiting the property.

Our office operations

During any power or internet outage:

  • Response times may be longer than usual
  • We will prioritize storm-related claims and urgent coverage matters
  • Non-urgent requests (quotes, reviews, routine changes) may be handled after normal operations resume

You may continue to contact us by email, and we will respond as soon as conditions allow.

Billing and payments

Please be aware carrier billing systems remain operational during storms. If you have a payment due, please use your carrier’s online portal or billing phone number to avoid any interruption in coverage.

Thank you for your patience!

Winter storms can create incredibly hard times for our entire region. Please remain patient.
